Mrs. Maranda Tutor Anderson, 34, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

The funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Reverend Fish Robinson and Reverend Will Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, from 4 until 7 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home and again prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the church.

A lifelong native of Oxford, Maranda was a 2002 graduate of Oxford High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. She and her family were longtime members of First Baptist Church and faithfully attended Community Church of Oxford.

Maranda married the love of her life in 2006 and found her greatest joy in the role of wife and mother. Her devotion to her family was evident in the perfect way she cared for her girls.  She found great joy in the busyness of motherhood, happily ushering the girls between soccer and softball, spending time creating arts and crafts and tending to their flower garden.  She appreciated the simple moments with her family and treasured the precious time spent baking and cooking with her daughters… they especially loved baking brownies with their mom! Maranda was a loving and loyal friend to many and offered a warm smile to all she met.

Survivors include her husband, Wes Anderson of Oxford; three daughters, Ramsey, Maelee and Anna Wesley Anderson all of Oxford; her mother, Sheila Clark Tutor of Oxford; her father Donald R. Tutor and his wife, Maggie of Oxford; a sister, Michelle Tutor Heisel and her husband, Dennis of Saltillo; her grandmother, Joyce McCain of Oxford; three “brother cousins,” Caleb, Logan and Knox Heisel; her First National Bank family and close friends and her childhood best friends, Jennie Overstreet Lee, Jennifer McCluskey Ferguson and Meredith Rocconi.
