Billy Derl Johnson, 79, of Water Valley, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford on July 11, 2018.  He was born May 20, 1939, in Taylor to the late Jessie Frank “Bill” and Eulela Ashmore Johnson.  Billy was a long time salesman for Avent’s Dairy and loved playing his guitar, working with cattle, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. in the Appleton room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Anchor Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Bro. Gerald Shook and Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in the Anchor Church Cemetery.

Billy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Wright Johnson of Water Valley; two sons, Brian Johnson (Andrea) and Chris Johnson, both of  Collierville, Tenn.; one sister, Charlotte Hardy (Horace) of Water Valley; and four grandchildren, Brianna Johnson Flowers (Skyler), Cameron Johnson, Melody Johnson and Brandon Johnson.
