Teresia Vaughn Olivis, 70, of Water Valley passed away peacefully on May 19, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.

Teresia was born November 25, 1947 in Water Valley, the daughter of the late Houston and Jenny Lou Vaughn.

Teresia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her little dog, Lu.  She was an active, lifelong member of First Christian Church of Water Valley. Teresia married the love of her life, Larry Fred “Pete” Olivis.  The two were happily married for 16 years until Pete’s unexpected passing in August 1995.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church of Water Valley with Bro. David Freeman officiating.  Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Teresia is survived by her daughter, Wendy Olivis Pratt (Chad) of Water Valley; two grandchildren, Olivia and Pete Pratt of Water Valley; two sisters, Alice Allen (Jim) of Oxford, and Judy (Bill) Lantrip of Southaven, Mississippi; two brothers, David Vaughn of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Kenny Vaughn (Bonnie) of Ashland, Kentucky.
