Daniel Phillips, 55, passed away March 18, 2018, at Pontotoc Hospital in Pontotoc, Miss.

Mr. Phillips was born October 29, 1962, to the late Mr. Moses Phillips and to Ms. Thelma Jones both of Panola County. Mr. Daniel Phillips was employed at First Choice Home Health of Pontotoc as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at T.O.M.B. (20 Hwy 334 Oxford, MS 38655) with interment to follow at the Philadelphia M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2018,  from 5 to 7 p.m. at Serenity-Martin Chapel.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Thelma J. Phillips of Oxford; two sons, Daniel Earl Phillips and Xavier Phillips, both of Pontotoc; two daughters: Daneisha Dywanna Phillips of Oxford  and Shydrika Phillips of Taylor; three brothers: L.V. Phillips of Abbeville, Miss., Howard Phillips and Elton Phillips both of Oxford; two sisters: Lora Phillips Williams of Oxford and Martha Phillips of Indianapolis, Ind. He also leaves two grandchildren.
