Ole Miss on Monday continued its early work in its 2019 recruiting class with a commitment from Lake Cormorant cornerback Jalen Jordan.
Jordan, ranked a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, announced his commitment with a post to his Twitter account. His verbal pledge came after the 5-foot-10, 175-pounder visited Ole Miss over the weekend.
Jordan, who committed a week after landing an offer from Ole Miss, is the third defensive back to join the Rebels’ 2019 class and the fourth pledge Ole Miss has added in less than a week. Ole Miss is up to eight commitments for 2019 with all of them playing their high school or junior college ball in Mississippi.
A two-way player at Lake Cormorant last season, Jordan led the Gators with 141 tackles and had five sacks and four interceptions. He also finished with 1,687 all-purpose yards (410 rushing, 503 receiving, 624 kick returns).
