Charles Leonard Harper

Mr. Charles Leonard Harper, 86, died January 3, 2018, in Bartlett, Tenn. Funeral services were previously held in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Harper, and was a longtime sales representative for Train Air Conditioners in Oxford. After marrying Shirley Inman Harper in 1998, he began dancing and enjoyed traveling. He and Shirley were rarely seen without one another and were known for coordinating their outfits and wearing matching shirts. They enjoyed extensive travels that included seventeen cruises, London, Paris and Thailand, Hong Kong and mainland China. Formerly a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, he was a member of Abbeville Baptist Church at the time of his death.
Local survivors include his wife, Shirley Inman Harper of Oxford, Miss.; three step-daughters, Donna Inman Harper and her husband, Walt, Andrea Inman Detrick and her husband, John, and Lisha Inman Smith and her husband, Rick all of Oxford; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
