Herbert Barton “Bart” Bailey, III, 74, died New Year’s Day at Mission Hills Post-Acute Care in San Diego, Cali. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Barton Bailey, Jr. and Eppie Jo Lowe Bailey. He is survived by his only sister, Barbara Bailey Young and her husband, Ken Young.

Following graduation from Long Beach High School and a brief service in the United States Air Force, Bart attended the University of Mississippi and Perkinston Junior College before moving to San Diego, where he spent the remainder of his life.

There was a private memorial graveside service at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Oxford, Friday, Jan. 19, 2018.
