The countdown is on for the opening of Oxford’s dashing new hospital.
The new Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi will open at 1100 Belk Drive on the morning of Saturday, November 25, ushering in a new era of excellent health care in our community and the surrounding communities served.
This is no small undertaking. A community our size gets a new like this about once every 50 years. Some never get a new hospital.
And ours is not just new, it’s designed for the community and with input from the community, making it uniquely ours.
Hospital staff have given up vacations in the weeks surrounding this month and they have participated in training outside of normal work hours for new, advanced technology that will support the facility.
We appreciate the commitment Baptist is making to Lafayette County and the surrounding 11 counties our hospital serves. They have gone the extra step in both details and technology investment to give us world-class healthcare right here at home.
We can’t ask for much more than that.
We are now just weeks away from this major community moment – opening of the new Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. We appreciate the hard work that all involved with the hospital are providing to make this happen.
