William “Will” Harrison Black, 67, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford, MS. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017, in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Gail Tapscott officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in West Hall.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Gertrude and Harrison Black, Mr. Black was a computer specialist and tutor. He enjoyed meteorology and collecting “oldies” music as hobbies. He also found great pleasure in gardening and assisting his husband, Rob Kuehnle, with research for the novels he writes under contract with Kensington Books in New York. He lived fifty-two years of his life in Boston and Biddeford Pool, Maine, before moving to Mississippi to begin the next phase of his life with Rob Kuehnle. The couple were legally married in Maine in the summer of 2014, but have been married in their hearts for thirteen years.

Mr. Black is survived by his husband, Robert J. Kuehnle of Oxford; sister, Nancy Black Carhart of Millinocket, ME; brother, Tim S. Black of Cincinnati, OH and two nieces, Abby and Emily.
