North Light Gallery has become an active player on the local arts scene here in Oxford, and has featured artists in numerous shows in their beautiful space for at least two years now.
Shows have ranged from showcasing university students, a show of art from prison inmates, a fiber arts show, sculpture, children’s art and more. In their mission to support arts and culture in our community, they are continuing the lineup of quality arts presentations.
It is very clear that North Light is intent on engaging the artists who live and work in the Oxford area. They open the gallery up to the public on a regular basis providing family activity days, inspiring creativity and fellowship with all who visit.
The next show on the schedule is an artist reunion featuring artists who have been spotlighted in the past in their gallery. “Summer Reunion: Art and Potluck” will occur on Sunday from 11:30-1 p.m. They are inviting the public to join them for an interactive time with the five artists participating.
From 11:30-noon, there will be an art reception with appetizers and childcare. At noon will begin the competitive potluck where participants can compete for prizes while enjoying lunch and dessert.
The event is free to the public and will be held at the gallery which is located at the Oxford Orchard Church at 295 Hwy. 7 North. For more information please email nlightgallery@gmail.com.
