Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Ross, age 55, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 6, 1961, to Quinton Yarbrough and Carolyn Foshee Yarbrough and lived in the Paris, Mississippi, area for a long time. Becky became a nurse and worked at Bramlett Elementary School in Oxford. She was a member of Delay Baptist Church in Oxford.
Visitation was Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at Delay Baptist Church in Oxford. Services are planned for Monday, May 1, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Delay Baptist Church in Oxford with Bro. Sammy Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Delay Baptist Church Cemetery with Ray Sockwell, Jr., Cain Foster, John Surrette, Johnny Clemmons, Harvey Jones, Dave Yarbrough, Barry Gossett, and Jamie Foshee serving as pallbearers.
Becky is survived by her husband, David Ross of Paris; three daughters, Jennifer Thompson (David) of Paris; Janella Schoggin (Jeremy) of Oxford,, and Jenna Ross of Paris; two sons, Jessie Surrette (Andrea) of Amory, and Jared Surrette of Oxford; her parents, Quinton and Carolyn Yarbrough of Paris; one sister, Janet Foster of Oxford; and nine grandchildren, Seth Surrette, Lily Surrette, Anna Surrette, Marissa Thompson, Alexis Thompson, Abigail Thompson, Quinton “Tyler” Schoggin, Chloe Simms, and Brentley Ross.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Judy Black.
