Jeanne Dresback Bowen, 93, died Friday March 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.  Jeanne was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Columbus, Ohio.  She attended The Ohio State University until she met the love of her life, Armour C. Bowen Jr. and moved to Memphis Tennessee in 1945. She was an avid seamstress and baker, but she was most well known for her strong faith and her love of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Armour C. Bowen Jr.  She is survived by her three daughters Peggy Smith (Bernie) of Oxford, Martha Barnes, and Jeanne Hollis (Richard); nine grandchildren, including Alyce Krouse (David), Meg Cordell, Mary Armour O’Reilly (Phillip), and Lucy Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be Monday, March 27, at Noon in the Parish Hall at the Church of the Holy Communion followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Church of the Holy Communion or a charity of the donor’s choice.
