Annie Pearl Thomas Busby, 96, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Christian Care Center in Memphis, Tennessee. The funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born to the late Lou Morgan and Claude C. Thomas, Mrs. Busby was a member of First Baptist Church where she kept the nursery for many years. She worked in the children’s department at Neilson’s. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buzz” Busby and a daughter, Faye Busby.

Survivors include her niece, Louise Renfroe and her husband Tom of Bartlett, Tennessee, and her great nieces and nephews, Katie and Ken Carter and their children, Stephen and Will of Bartlett, Tennessee, Betsy and Jason Wade and their children, Emily, Maddie and Bryant of Bartlett, Tennessee and James Renfroe of Oxford.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Busby’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 800 Van Buren, Oxford, MS 38655.
