Caitlin Rose Williams, 17, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben East and the Rev. Shane McGivney officiating. Burial will follow in Yellow Leaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home.
Born in Oxford, Caitlin was a proud member of Yellow Leaf Baptist Church where she was very active in the youth group and helped with Sisters in Service. She was a junior at Lafayette High School, member of the LHS Anchor Club and served on the Annual Staff. She participated in the William Winter Summer Youth Institute during the summer of 2016. Outside of school, she enjoyed fishing with her Pops.
Caitlin was preceded in death by a sister, Amelia “MeMe” Turner.
Caitlin is survived by her parents, Nikki and Evan Williams of Oxford; three sisters, Addie Williams of Oxford, Laken Knighton of Oxford and Konnie Knighton of Pontotoc; a brother, Dakota “Buddy” Coleman of Pontotoc; her grandparents, Denise and Johnny Knighton of Oxford and Angie and Randy Williams of Savannah, Georgia and her great grandmothers, Edna Lee Helms of Enterprise, and Lottie Knighton of Oxford.
