BATESVILLE — Katherine Perkins Lewellyn, 88, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at West Hills Health and Rehab in Knoxville, Tennesse.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 4, 2016, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at noon prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Sardis.
She was born May 24, 1928, in Panola County to the late Willie and Rosie Johnson Perkins. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Red Lewellyn.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Katherine Sayers of Athens, Tennessee, Maxine Ryan of Knoxville and Susan Brown of Knoxville; son, Larry Lewellyn of Clarksdale; two sisters, Virginia Perkins Thompson of Elkart, Indiana and Rosemary Perkins Beard of Batesville; two brothers, Russell Perkins of Memphis, Tennessee and Jimmy Perkins of Raleigh; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
