EAGLE will fully move Friday

The Oxford EAGLE’s office will relocate Friday from its current location on West Jackson Avenue to its new location at 4 Private Road 2050.
The EAGLE’s printing facilities have been operating from the new location since earlier this month, but beginning Friday the news, sports, advertising, circulation and business office departments will relocate to the new building as well.
The Eagle’s new offices are located near the intersection of Highways 7 and 30, between Stout’s Carpet and Flooring and the Morgan White Insurance building.
Beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, customers seeking to place a classified advertising, pay a subscription bill or submit a news item should come to the new location. Some GPS navigation systems still do not recognize the address, but most will recognize it as 4 County Road 2050. The EAGLE’s phone numbers will not change.
“We’re pleased to have The EAGLE’s team all under one roof again,” said Kevin Cooper, vice president of Oxford Newsmedia. “Having the press in one location and all of our other departments in another location has been a challenge over the last couple weeks, but I’d like to commend the newspaper’s great staff on handling the matter without missing a beat.”
Cooper said additional work on the new location would continue after the staff moves in Friday.
“We appreciate all of the patience our readers, home delivery carriers and others have had as we’ve moved our printing presses and now our offices,” Cooper said. “We’re still finalizing all of the systems changes, so we continue to ask for your patience while we make sure all the phones ring at the correct desks. When we have all of those systems sorted out and when all of our renovations are complete, the new building will serve as a nice headquarters for a modern community media organization.”
Once the building is complete, school groups and residents are welcome to come tour the facility and watch the presses run.
