William and Julia Parker of Gore Springs announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Miranda Katelyn Parker, to James Dallas Brown, son of Roxana Brown of Natchez and the late James Brown.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. on May 14, 2016 during a quiet, outdoor ceremony at Duck Hill, officiated by Pastor Joey Gafford.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Grenada High School. She earned her LPN Certification at Holmes Community College. She currently works as a nurse at the North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a master’s degree in counseling from Capella University. He currently works as a Behavior Specialist at the North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford.

The two met while working at the NMRC. Miranda is a member of Southside Church of Christ in Grenada, while Dallas is currently a member of The Orchard United Methodist Church in Oxford.

After the wedding the couple plans to live in Oxford and spend the rest of their lives honeymooning.
