A man that lead Oxford Police Department officers on a chase last month was arrested on a warrant Wednesday.

According to reports, on Feb. 15, officers attempted to pull over Willie Mcthune, 48, of Oxford for a traffic violation. He would not stop for the officers and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was eventually deemed unsafe and it was canceled and Mcthune got away. However, officers identified Mcthune and put out a warrant. He was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $1,500 bond.
