OXFORD — Shelbi Nicole Forsyth, 26, died Friday, November 13, 2015 near Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be in Kingdom Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-6 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Oxford, she had lived in this area her entire life. As a graduate of Lafayette High School, she had enjoyed participating in band and ROTC. She graduated from Northwest Community College and was excited to begin working in healthcare at Oxford Health and Rehab. She was very artistic and enjoyed taking selfies of her son, Bentley, and herself. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was known as someone who never met a stranger. Most importantly, she loved her son and family.
She is survived by her father, Scott Forsyth of Water Valley; mother, Johnell Ragsdale of Senatobia; son, Jon Bentley Forsyth; three sisters, Alicia Franklin and Marlee Moorehead, both of Pope, and Amber Ragsdale of Horn Lake; four brothers, Peyton Trimm of Millington, Tennessee, Nathan Cook and Will Forsyth, both of Water Valley, and Blake Moorehead of Senatobia; grandparents, John and Sandy O’Dell of Oxford and Bill and Mary Lou Forsyth of Water Valley.
