We hope you like the new look of your newspaper today, tomorrow and for time to come.

But we didn’t stop there. We also launched a new website today. It’s the same address, www.oxfordeagle.com. And now you can access more than before by visiting.

The redesign was put together with the reader in mind. We have not changed the size of our type in stories, but did change our headline styles. We have changed the way items are presented on several pages to give a more crisp and modern feel.

The community calendar, which was altered in August to present items in a daily format, will continue to have a prominent spot on the second page, and ads on that page usually will be leveled off in order to get more events on the page in a more readable format. We ahave moved the Eagle Eye photo to the calendar page,  which  will

help more people see your group submitted photo. Please keep sending those photos our way.

Instead of a front page “weekend ticket” story on Thursday, we will offer a food story.

There are so many restaurants and food options for Oxford that we want you to know more about them.
