New acoustic venue – Fiddler’s Loft – opens in Water Valley

OXFORD TOWN – Our community has a vast supply of restaurants and bars that double as music venues. Guests are able to find breakfast, lunch, dinner and a plethora of drinks — not to mention, almost any musical genre. But … where’s a cool, laid back acoustic venue? Introducing Fiddler’s Loft — Water Valley’s newest musical project. Elmo & The Shades return to Rooster’s Blues House

EDUganda benefit set for The Blind Pig this Friday

OXFORD TOWN – EDUganda (formerly Hope for Africa established in 2007) is an organization touting a mission of providing basic opportunities to the people of Uganda — more specifically, ensuring that Ugandan children are given access to quality education. On Friday night (Feb 24), The Blind Pig will play host to a concert benefitting the humanitarian group. Local bands Aerial Attack and The Da Vincis will provide the jam.
