Rebs to have new-look outfield in ’10
OLE MISS BASEBALL — As has been the case with several other players, junior Matt Smith has put his versatility on display during the 2010 preseason. After spending most of the fall in the outfield, Smith has been practicing at third base because sophomore Mike Snyder was hospitalized last week. OHS defeats bigger West Point to advance
Oxford’s Chargers advanced in the Region 2-5A Tournament with a 77-52 win over West Point. The Chargers got balanced scoring to earn the victory, which advances them to a date with New Hope on Friday night in the tourney title game. Late surge keys Devils’ win
The Water Valley boys’ basketball team overcame a slow start to post a 60-52 win over North Pontotoc in the team’s final home game of the season Thursday night. OLE MISS BASEBALL — Several former Ole Miss baseball players, including Lance Lynn, Brett Basham and Matt Tolbert returned to Oxford this week to begin training for their respective professional spring trainings.
