It’s just a coincidence – News Editor Jonathan Scott isn’t into New Year’s resolutions – but Scott is planning to take part in a community program offered by Baptist Memorial Hospital titled “Healthy You, Healthy L.O.U.” It’s a plan to help members of the community to develop a healthy lifestyle, something Scott feels certain will be a reward well worth the effort. Alejandro’s Back!
OXFORD TOWN – Alejandro Escovedo returns to Oxford next Tuesday (Sept. 14) for a Larry Brown tribute set and discussion at Off Square Books at 5 p.m. followed by a full concert at Proud Larry’s later that night. Oxford EAGLE News Editor Jonathan Scott talked to Escovedo about the shows, his new album titled “Street Songs of Love” and Oxford, one of his favorite cities in which to visit and perform. “Street Songs of Love” features “high powered vocal support” from legends such as Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople and Bruce Springsteen.
