Emerson String Quartet set for Ford Center on Friday

Urban Bush Women to inspire Oxford

OXFORD TOWN – Urban Bush Women, a contemporary dance company, is slated to perform Jan. 17 at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to the performance on Monday, the company will be conducting free workshops in different areas of the community and a community Pot-luck Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at The Powerhouse. Ford Center releases awesome 2010-11 schedule

OXFORD TOWN –The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts brings classic Broadway, fun family shows and big-name performers to the University of Mississippi for the 2010-11 season. Singer Amy Grant (pictured) will perform on Friday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. Additional Ford Series performances, all beginning at 8 p.m., include the musicals “Fiddler on the Roof” on Nov. 9, “Oklahoma!” on Nov. 19, “Forever Plaid” on Jan. 22 and “A Chorus Line” on March 26, just to name a few. The play premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday in Fulton Chapel, with encore performances set for 8 p.m. March 26-27, and 2 p.m. matinee performances March 27-28.
