Woman dies in Oxford fire
An early-morning fire claimed the life of an Oxford woman and sent another woman to the hospital in critical condition, Oxford Fire Department Deputy Chief David Duchaine said.
Firefighters got the call at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday to respond to a fire at 1109 S. 14th St., the home of Frances Brown, who was critically injured in the fire. She was flown to a burn center in Alabama.
Officials have identified the woman who died as Patricia K. Wilkerson, 54, originally of Vicksburg. (January 20, 2011, Page 1)
