Lois Elizabeth Harmon Stevens — 88, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service beginning at noon at the funeral home.

Gordon R. Thetford — 66, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with Hal Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour before the service.

    Jennifer Christine “Chris” Beall Cobb — 43, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at her home in Batesville. A private family committal service was held Sunday at Wells Funeral Home. The family received friends at 10 this morning at First Presbyterian Church in Oxford with the Rev. John Semmes officiating a memorial service that followed at 11. Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Batesville was in charge of arrangements.

    Kimberly LaShay Jones — 39, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Hodges Funeral Home of Oxford has charge of arrangements.

    Sara Keith Pryor Mauldin —  75, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Bobby Sockwell —  78, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New El Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Keel officiating. Burial will follow in New El Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    William H. Stubblefield — 65, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

    Roy Watson — 67, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services were held today at 1 p.m. at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry East officiating. Interment followed in Yellow Leaf Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

      Sara Pryor Mauldin — 75, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

      Bobbye Jean Rush — 77, of Oxford and Burdette, Ark., died Friday, April 24, 2015, in Burdette. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral Home Chapel in Osceola, Ark., with burial in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

      Theodore Steele (Ted) Todd —  63, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2015, in Oxford. No funeral is scheduled, but a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. May 10 at the Eagles Lodge, 16801 E Sprague, in Spokane, Wash. The service will include musical performances and remembrances of Todd. The Inland Empire Blues Society will also be on hand for memberships, renewals and donations in honor of Todd.

      Virginia “Sis” Tucker — 78, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Shane Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m.

        Shirley Ann Bishop Coleman — 78, of Oxford died at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford on Friday, March 27, 2015. . The funeral is scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. at Oxford Church of Christ. The burial will be at Pine Bluff Church of Christ, on Highway, 334, two miles west of Toccopola, with a reception to follow in the Pine Bluff Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. Bro. Lendy Bartlett will officiate the service.  Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

        Leatrice Randle Griffin — 100, passed away at her home in Coffeeville on Thursday, March 26, 2015.  Services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Brother Donnie Stewart and Brother Daniel Hathorne officiating.  McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.

        Mary Ann Morgan King — 80, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will held Monday from 5-7 p.m.at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford.

        Lisa Stark Melton — 43, died Friday evening, March 27, 2015, at Baptist-DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville.             James Arthur “Jim” Crocker Jr. — 100, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at his home in Mobile, Ala. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street in Mobile. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens in Tillman’s Corner. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

            Albert Clinton Dollahite — 77, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at his home in Water Valley. Funeral services will follow the visitation at noon Wednesday in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Eakes and Bro. Jerry King officiating.  Burial will be in the Pine Crest Memorial Gardens cemetery in Yalobusha County. Visitation Wednesday at the funeral home begins at 10 a.m. and continues until the service.             Lynda Kinniburgh — 74, died Nov. 17, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.

            Kerby Edward Ladner — 76, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at North Oxford Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Richardson and Rev. Fish Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Eastover Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at North Oxford Baptist Church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Charlayne Gladney Lamb — 75, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A service of remembrance will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Batesville Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Dr. Don Yancey will be officiating the service.               • Lt. Col. (Retired) USAF Billy R. “Bill” King – 80, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, after a brief illness. King wished to help medical science and donated his body to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. An interment service will be held at a later date.
              • Sandy G. Tutor – 48, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven. Memorial services were held Monday at the Batesville Church of Christ with Michael Bates officiating. Wells Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
              • Alonzo D. Welch – 95, died at his home on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Open visitation is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Madison. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Meadowbrook Church of Christ, with interment at the Natchez City Cemetery later that day.
