- Eva Ellzy – 94, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville. Services were held Saturday at the Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, with the Rev. Jay Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
- Anna Savage Phillips Russell – 70, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her home in Oxford. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon at the Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford, with the Rev. Gene Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Flat Cemetery.
- Ruth Dale Allen Sneed – 83, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her residence in Belden. Services were held this morning at Harrisburg Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Langerfeld, Dr. Forrest Sheffield and the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial followed in Lee Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
- Elmar Lee Summar – 85, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services were held Saturday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford, with Bro. Randy Hope officiating.
- Jimmy Wortham – 60, died Saturday at his residence in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford.

- QUITMAN ELLIOTT “BOO” HARRISON – 74, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in his home in Lambert. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
- EARL IVY – 64, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Serenity-Martin Funeral Home of Oxford.
- LULA OWENS – 53, died Friday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis. Arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford.
- MARY ALLENE HUDSON SMITH – 87, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville. Services were held Sunday at the United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany. Burial followed in the Glenfield Memorial Park.

DELEY SMITH BOWLES – 69, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at her home in Sledge. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Matt Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Peachcreek Cemetery near Sardis. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Wells Funeral Home.
SANDRA KAY CASEY – 59, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at her home near Lambert. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Murphy Eubanks officiating. The family was to receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
DOROTHY H. DAVIDSON – 89, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at her home in Oxford. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Semmes and Reverend John Helbig officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
BRENDA ANNETTE HOWARD – 53, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at her residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building with the Rev. James Wesley Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John M.B. Church cemetery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
QUEEN E. PERRY – 76, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at her home in Flint, Mich. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 11, at Greater Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. with Elder Henry Jamerson and Bishop Roger L. Jones Sr. officiating. Interment followed at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
DANNY LANIER SIMPSON – 71, of Ashland, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs Funeral Home with Dr. Gerald Hodges and Brother William Kemp officiating.
