Water Valley Blue Devils

Area squads set to face region rivals

With the end of the regular season rapidly approaching, all three area football teams are jostling for region and post-season positioning tonight.
Water Valley probably headlines the area’s action with a road test at Aberdeen, while Oxford (8-0 overall, 4-0 Region 1-5A) hosts 1-5A foe Saltillo and Lafayette welcomes 2-4A rival Senatobia to William L. Buford Stadium.
All three games are set for 7 p.m. kickoffs. Oxford’s game can be heard on 95.5 FM, while Water Valley’s will be broadcast on 105.5 FM and Lafayette’s on 93.7 FM. (October 19, 2012, Page 6A)
