Water Valley Blue Devils

Four Blue Devils honored

Two players each from the Water Valley girls and boys basketball teams were named recently to the All-Region 2-3A team.
Earning a spot on the girls team were C.C. Phillips and Ashley Phillips, while Tavi Toles and Matt Dalton both represent the boys team.

Jamelia Hoskins of Aberdeen was named the girls Player of the Year, while Anthony McDonald of Aberdeen won the boys top award. Latorrence Bivens of Aberdeen was named Girls Coach of the Year, while the Boys Coach of the year was Roy Hazzle of Aberdeen. (March 15, 2010)

    Oxford wins one of two in Water Valley

    Oxford’s middle school baseball team won the first game of a middle school doubleheader with Water Valley 11-0 Monday evening. The two teams tied the second game 4-4. (March 9, 2010, Page 10)

      Blue Devils split pair with Grenada

      Water Valley rallied from a disappointing 5-2 loss to Grenada to earn a doubleheader split with the Chargers Saturday. The Blue Devils won the second game 5-1 thanks to a five-run sixth inning and good relief pitching from Walt McCullough. (March 8, 2010, Page 8A)

        Charleston no match for Diamond Blue Devils

        WVHS BASEBALL — The Charleston Tigers were no match for Water Valley on Tuesday. The Blue Devils battled a chilly night to sweep Charleston in a home doubleheader 16-1, 17-0. (March 3, 2010, Page 9)
