Water Valley’s Phillips in all-star game
Water Valley senior and Mississippi State signee Ashley Phillips has been selected to play in the Northeast Mississippi Coaches Association softball and basketball All-Star games that will be held in June. The softball game will be June 2 at 4:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tupelo. The basketball game will be held on June 4 at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville. Water Valley’s Lady Blue Devils traveled to Mooreville Tuesday and earned a surprising 56-41 win over the Lady Troopers in the first round of the Region 2-3A Tournament. C.C.
