WVHS tabs Taylor as boys basketball coach

Water Valley High School dipped into south Mississippi to find its next head boys basketball coach.
Larry Taylor has been hired to lead the Blue Devils’ hoops program. Taylor, whose hire was approved by the Water Valley school board at its meeting on Monday night, will replace John Sherman, who left last month to take over as the Lafayette High girls coach. (July 9, 2014, Page 6)

    Allman: WVHS ‘close’ to hiring boys hoops coach

    Water Valley’s search for a new boys basketball coach is coming to an end.
    A pool of applicants has been narrowed to a group of five finalists who have been going through interviews for the last two weeks, Water Valley athletic director Trey Allman said. A hire could be made shortly after the holiday weekend. (July 3, 2014, Page 6)

      Blue Devils blow past Mantachie

        Water Valley’s Phillips in all-star game

        Water Valley senior and Mississippi State signee Ashley Phillips has been selected to play in the Northeast Mississippi Coaches Association softball and basketball All-Star games that will be held in June. The softball game will be June 2 at 4:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tupelo. The basketball game will be held on June 4 at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville. (May 25, 2011, Page 7)
