Local banks robbed more often
While Oxford has had two bank robberies and nearby Water Valley has had one bank robbed in 2010, nationally, the Bonnie and Clyde wannabes seem to be getting fewer. (November 10, 2010, Page 1)
UPDATE: Man arrested for armed robbery
WATER VALLEY — Police authorities were still looking for a suspect who robbed the Regions Bank today at 12:30 p.m. According to information provided by Yalobusha County Sheriff Lance Humphreys, an armed white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He successfully left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank through the front door, running as he left the scene. (more…) (October 5, 2010)
