- Ruth Dale Allen Sneed – 83, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at her residence in Belden. Services were held this morning at Harrisburg Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Langerfeld, Dr. Forrest Sheffield and the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial followed in Lee Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.

- JoAnn Evans Bennett, 76, a retired bookkeeper at Otasco, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at her home in Oxford. Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
- Robert Grisham “Bob” Bennett Sr., 77, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at his home in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford, with the Rev. Claire Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories at the funeral home. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

- Lesley Lonnie Stewart, 100, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held for an hour and a half prior to the service at the funeral home.
- Dr. Joe Wayne “Doc” Walker, 75, of Water Valley died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Bain and Bro. Hal Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation is planned for Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Water Valley.
