CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The rematch most envisioned when the NCAA Tournament’s field of 64 teams was announced earlier this week is just moments away. Fresh off of wins over St. John’s and VCU respectively, the No. 2 seed Ole Miss Rebels and No. 1 seed Virginia Cavaliers are about to take the field.

    Rebels headed to Virginia for regional

    A little under one year ago, the Ole Miss baseball team won Game 1 of its NCAA Super Regional against the Virginia Cavaliers in Oxford. Virginia rallied to take the next two games from the Rebels and advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

    On Monday, it was announced that the Rebels will get a chance at retribution as they were placed in the Charlottesville (Va.) Regional as the No. 2 seed. (June 1, 2010, Page 1B)

      Ole Miss headed to Charlottesville Regional

      Ole Miss will be making its ninth NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 seasons under Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco. Earlier today it was announced on ESPN that the Rebels will be packing their bags and heading to Virginia for the Charlottesville (Va.) Regional as the No. 2 seed. (more…) (May 31, 2010)
