Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi donated $15,000 toward 10 new electrical beds for the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford recently. (April 13, 2011, Page 2)
The VFW, American Legion, Order of the Purple Heart and Disabled American Veterans have been holding several fundraisers over the past year to raise money toward building the park that will be located on Veterans Boulevard, across from the Veterans State Home. So far, a pavilion with bathrooms has been constructed. The land has been cleared and lights have been installed along with some benches.
