    VFW ladies to host fundraiser Saturday

    The Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary will be holding a fundraiser Saturday at the Veterans Building that will have line dancing, kids’ games, a silent auction and other fun events for the whole families. The fun begins at 11 a.m. (October 23, 2012, Page 3)

        Valor recalled

        Area residents will have three programs this Memorial Day to give everyone a chance to honor those who gave all.

        — Community service at 10 a.m. at the National Guard Armory in Oxford; guest speaker will be Don Hutson

        — Mississippi State Veteran’s Home at 10 a.m.; guest speaker will be SP5 Jimmy C. Reed Jr.

          Marking Memorial Day

          Local veterans are asking area residents to help them remember those who have made the greatest sacrifice while serving their country.
