Freeze says he has talked with SEC about late spot
During Vanderbilt’s go-ahead drive in Saturday’s 27-26 game, quarterback Jordan Rodgers looked like he converted a fourth-and-2 when he scrambled from the Commodores’ 46-yard line and then dove for the needed distance and was officially awarded 3 yards.
Following Tuesday’s practice, Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze was asked if he had heard from the league regarding the spot of the ball, which extended the Commodores’ drive and allowed them to go ahead for the first time four plays later. (November 14, 2012, Page 6)

‘Dores sink Rebels with late rally
Two teams entered Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday looking to gain bowl eligibility. Until the final minute of the game, it looked like the Rebels would be the team to gain magic win No. 6. Then Ole Miss repeated its unfortunate recent history.

Vanderbilt has bought in to Franklin’s message
Vanderbilt coach James Franklin attributed his team’s 27-26 come-from-behind win against Ole Miss on Saturday night at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to the hard work they have put in since he was hired to turn things around Dec. 18, 2010.
Down 16-6 at the half and 23-6 in the early stages of the third quarter, the Commodores never blinked, they never pouted or hung their head; they only got stronger as the game wore on. Franklin, who has led the Commodores to a third road win in Southeastern Conference play this year — a first in school history — gave credit to his team for the way the overcame adversity against the Rebels.
