Lafayette fastest growing county in state

Based on recent population trends, Lafayette County is now the fastest growing county in the state, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. New numbers also reveal that the city of Oxford has reached a “milestone” in its population. (May 24, 2013, Page 1A)

      Census takers take to the streets

      To ensure a complete and accurate 2010 Census, census takers have taken to the street in the community this week to visit with households who haven’t returned their census forms.

        Counting heads begins next week
