    Tornado victims come together to rebuild

    Driving down the roads where the tornado carved a path from the Highway 7-9 split, down to Pine Flat, through the Yocona community and ending at Highway 6 East, destruction is evident almost everywhere the eye can see. From fallen trees to houses missing roofs to homes demolished. What can also be seen is neighbor helping neighbor. (May 6, 2011, Page 1B)

      Oxford base for Red Cross

      The American Red Cross has set up a central command station at the Northwest Chapter in Oxford. More than 50 volunteers have come to the area from around the country to help the victims of last week’s devastating storms. (May 4, 2011, Page 1)
