Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day set next week

The Three Rivers Solid Waste Management Authority, along with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the city of Oxford, will hold its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 in the parking lot of the National Guard Armory, next to the Oxford Conference Center off Sisk Avenue.
The collection day is a time when everyone can safely dispose of items like pain, motor oil, batteries, old computers, household and lawn chemicals and their containers, tires, florescent bulbs, and pesticides. (April 13, 2012, Page 3A)
