            Two events planned to stock Pantry

            This Saturday you can donate canned goods at local grocery stores or spend $15 on Thursday to get a bowl, soup and water to help restock The Pantry that in turn helps feed over 100 families a month. (February 3, 2012, Page 3a)

              Restaurant fundraiser to benefit food pantry

              Several local restaurants will come together Thursday to help raise funds for The Pantry, an emergency food bank, and help celebrate two years of the popular food blog, EatingOxford.com. The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Powerhouse. Tickets are $10. (September 28, 2011, Page 3)

                    Empty Bowls fills hungry stomachs

                    The eighth annual Empty Bowls fundraiser for The Pantry will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church.

                    Last year the event raised more than $15,000 for The Pantry — a nonprofit organization that began in 1982 to provide food on an emergency basis to eligible residents in Lafayette County and is staffed by volunteers. (February 8, 2011, Page 3A)
