    Broadway, Gowdy named Pantry Volunteers of the Year

      Community joins together to help others

      Community members gathered at Oxford-University United Methodist Church on Thursday for a popular local fundraiser: Empty Bowls. The benefit for the local food pantry featured nearly two dozen soups for patrons to choose from as well as 700 handmade bowls. (February 15, 2015, Page 1C)

        Empty Bowls ready for annual event

        Empty Bowls will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at OUUMC. For $20, one can dine on soups, stew or gumbo from various restaurants and receive a hand-crafted bowl with bread and water. Proceeds go to The Pantry. (February 9, 2015, Page 1)
