      EAGLE honored with 28 MPA awards

      The Oxford EAGLE was honored with 28 awards Saturday at the Mississippi Press Association’s annual Better Newspaper Contest. The EAGLE received 10 first-place honors, 13 second-place awards and five third-place awards for the work it published in 2012. (June 24, 2013, Page 3A)

            The new Week 1

            Thanks so much the great response you’ve given us during our new Web site’s first week. Although with a new project there are always tweaks to be made, we’re really pleased with what we’ve got here and glad you are, too. To cap off the first seven days, here’s an overview of how things are coming along, as well as the answers to some frequently asked questions we’ve received this week — including about Classifieds.

              The last big piece of The EAGLE’s new Web site is coming together, and you can preview it here. It’s an online viewer that will let you see every page of the paper, exactly as it appeared in print.

              In the days to come, you’ll see the standard header replaced with a customized one. Access to the viewer will be free through the month of March, and our online subscription pilot program begins April 1. For more details about our new site’s features, click here(March 3, 2010)
