    Woman knocked down by car…

    No one may never know what Carol “Jeanne” Zinn was thinking Friday when she tried to stop a car with a small boy inside from rolling into the road, although it’s safe to assume she was only concerned about the child’s safety.

    Zinn, who’s owned Star Package Store for 18 years along with her husband, was outside of the package store at about 5 p.m. Friday when a family friend got out of their vehicle, leaving the car in reverse.       Father, daughter succumb to brain injuries

      A father and daughter involved in an all-terrain vehicle wreck earlier this week have died.
      Kenneth Galmore, 39, and his daughter, Daija, 12, were visiting cousins on County Road 309 when they decided to take an ATV out for a spin, according to family members. Who was driving the ATV when it crashed head-on into a tree is unknown.

          ATV wreck leaves two clinging to life

          A Friday afternoon wreck involving an all-terrain vehicle has left a father and his teenage daughter fighting for their lives.
          The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene on County Road 309 at about 1:30 p.m., on Friday. The father and daughter, from Wisconsin, where visiting family to attend a funeral on the weekend. (March 8, 2010, Page 1A)
