Denver’s Chimney Choir blazes into town for multiple events

OXFORD TOWN – Former Oxonian and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Larkin left Taylor approximately two years ago but he’s back this weekend with a brand new project in tow. Larkin’s lastest effort is a three-piece “world music” outfit, Chimney Choir, and they’ll be playing all over the L-O-U community and Tupelo this weekend and next week. Page 7 in this week’s issue of Oxford Town – No. 970 – has complete details about the band and Saturday night’s party. (March 15, 2012, Page 6)

Taylor artists turn former shopping center into art workshop

Local sculptor Bill Beckwith is taking the green trend to another level: He’s recycled part of an old shopping center to a new artists’ workshop.
The workshop is located in Taylor off County Road 323, just a mile or so from Taylor Grocery. (August 13, 2010, Page 1B)
