    UM Field Station hosts Ecology Day camps

    Ecological summer camps expose campers to various aspects of biology and environmental science through hands-on interaction. The camps are sponsored by the University of Mississippi Field Station and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and are held in June and July for area children. (July 20, 2012, Page 1B, 3B)

      Ole Miss announces baseball camps

      The Ole Miss baseball program is set to host three different summer camps aimed for kids in grades 1-12.

      June 18-22 the team will host a camp for grades 1-8. Grades 1-12 can participate in two different camps, the first from July 9-12 and the second from July 16-19. For more information, visit olemissbaseballcamps.com or call 662-915-6643. (June 13, 2012, Page 7)

        Ole Miss baseball hosting three summer camps

        The Ole Miss baseball team will be holding three summer camps in the coming weeks. The first camp will begin Monday and run through June 25. The day camp is for youth in first through eighth grade.

        The final two camps will be held July 12-15 and July 19-22. Both have overnight options for campers and both are open for youth in grades one through 12.

          Summer camps for grownups

          While there are no canoes, butterflies or swimming pools involved, the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council is offering adult summer “camps” that will help grownups learn more about their creative talents.
          The classes include learning how to take photographs on black-and-white film and developing them in a dark room; how to  convert your home movies to DVD; and an introduction to the basics of composition, light, sound and camera movement when filming with video. (June 4, 2010, Page 1A)
