Humane Society asks for funds from city aldermen

The Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society presented its Fiscal Year 2015 budget to the Oxford Board of Aldermen earlier this week. The shelter reported it took 753 cats and dogs from inside the city limits. The shelter charges the city $114 per day for 10 days for each cat and $119 for each dog for 10 days. The city also pays for animal control services within the city limits which is a part of the shelter’s budget. (July 24, 2014, Page 3)
