Parking enforcers nab 860 violators

In the first six weeks of beefed up parking enforcement around the Square, more than 860 tickets have been issued to over-time parkers. About 60 are repeat offenders. (January 7, 2013, Page 1A)

    Parking crackdown heads fourth quarter stories

            Parking commission approves changes

            During its regular meeting Friday, the commission agreed on ordinance changes to the current laws that increase the two-hour parking restrictions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The new ordinance also changes the fine structure for violating the two-hour parking restriction. (August 13, 2012, Page 1)

                    Paid parking meeting planned

                    As the city moves forward with implementing a paid parking system, city officials want the public to understand it’s not about making money but to manage parking.
