Oxford’s Convention and Tourism Bureau is hiding buried treasure which could mean extra cash for businesses. Using geocaching the Oxford Convention and Tourism Bureau hopes to attract more visitors to the area. With an estimated 5 geocachers worldwide this treasure hunting activity is a growing area of tourism, and Oxford is ready with 60 hidden caches. (July 26, 2010, Page 1)

    Lee Child to visit Off Square Books May 20

    OXFORD TOWN – The No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child is set to visit Oxford and Off Square Books on Thursday, May 20, at 5 p.m. Child is currently in the middle of a national book tour promoting the latest and 14th novel in his Reacher series entitled “61 Hours.” Page 5 of this week’s Oxford Town has a review of Child’s new book which will be released on Tuesday, May 18. (May 13, 2010, Page 5)

      As a stop in the “Big Bang Symphony: A Novel of Antarctica” Book Tour, author Lucy Jane Bledsoe will be reading from and signing her latest novel Monday, May 17, at 5 p.m. at Off Square Books.
