East to remain sheriff of Lafayette County
Sheriff F.D. “Buddy” East was re-elected for another term Tuesday night. East has been sheriff for almost 40 years. Also winning in last night’s election was Baretta Mosley, for Lafayette County Circuit Court Clerk and incumbant Justice Court Judge Mickey Avent. (November 9, 2011, Page 3)
