Shannon McNally

Shannon comes ‘Home’ this Friday

OXFORD TOWN – Any true North Mississippian can identify the silhouette of Shannon McNally from, at least, a mile away. McNally and her band, Hot Sauce, are set for a show at Proud Larry’s on Friday, Dec. 30, as they help ring in 2012 with their fiery Americana and folk originals. Also at Larry’s, on Saturday, the popular venue plays host to Dent May, Flight, ILLS and Star Child for a Cats Purring New Year’s Eve jam. Check out these and other listings on Page 4 in Oxford Town’s Around Town Community Calendar. And, from all of us at The Oxford EAGLE and Oxford Town, have a safe and fabulous New Year. (December 29, 2011, Page 4)

Get Revived! The Oxford Rhythm Revival returns this weekend

OXFORD TOWN – Gear up for one of the coolest “revivals” in the region as the 2011 version of the Oxford Rhythm Revival cranks up around the Oxford Square this Saturday (June 18). Shannon’s back

OXFORD TOWN – Shannon McNally has surrounded herself with band members that she considers “family” – and one of them actually is; her husband, drummer Wallace Lester. The band’s latest album “Coldwater” was recently released and they have hit the road in a big way to support it. One stop of that tour is next week at Proud Larry’s on March 11. McNally talks with Oxford Town’s Kate Anthony about her influences, defining a genre and the late Jim Dickinson, producer of “Coldwater.” (March 4, 2010, Page 11)
