High school graduation — there’s nothing like it for everyone involved

We congratulate the seniors from Regents School of Oxford, Water Valley High School and Lafayette High School who have already graduated and send the same wishes to Oxford youngsters who will be getting their diplomas this week. We also thank all of those who have worked to help these young ladies and gentleman attain this goal. (May 24, 2015, Page 4A)

    Parents voice concern

    Parents of children at the Scott Center voiced their apprehensiveness about the potential sale of Oxford School District property at last night’s board meeting. The board approved an attorney to represent them in the rezoning issues for the land. (November 18, 2014, Page 1)

      OSD dealing with enviable position

      The Oxford School District could well be in the catbird seat in regard to its recent discovery that school property near and where the Scott Center is located could be worth millions of dollars. We applaud the school district for looking into the situation and encourage them to make the best decision for the students, the school system and the community. (October 19, 2014, Page 4A)

            Voters to decide $30M bond issue

            Be ready to cast your vote on Oct. 26 as the Oxford School District is ready to move forward with a $30 millon bond issue. The bond would enable the district to build a new high school and make renovations to other schools within the district. (July 20, 2010, Page 1A)
